David Rowbotham in his Brisbane home, comments on and recites selections of his poetry. He intersperses the recitation with short biographical sketches. Poems include: Cutting a Wrinble, Honey licked from a Fawn, The Night the Owl flew in, The Rattle in the Marque, Dynamite, State of Bella, As the Blade of a Knife, Mullabinda - the place and the Bushman's Girl.

Poet and journalist. Born in Toowoomba, Rowbotham has lived most of his life in Queensland. Most of his journalistic career has been with the Brisbane Courier-Mail, where he is presently Arts Editor. He was Senior Tutor in English at the University of Queensland between 1965 and 1969.
